Small Bowl #6. Piece #19. Thrown 2/2023. Glazed 3/2023.

Maker's Notes:

  • I'd done a lot of flat rims so I want to try some other types (future ideas; rounded, flared out or in, etc.)
  • I wanted to experiment with a thinner rim because I thought I may like that look. I learned that if the rim is this sharp it doesn't seem to hold onto the glaze
  • The thickness consistency throughout the piece could be improved.
  • I added some "underglaze" in the middle and it didn't do much. Might have added some more vibrant reds that got mixed in with the other glaze.
  • I forgot to take a photo after the first glazing.
  • I re-glazed with matte glaze on top, and it ended up just making the color run rather than providing a matte finish, pretty interesting
